Description
The Rolling Stones 1964-1969 vinyl box Set in NM condition. The records have been played only once with two exceptions: Their Satanic Majesties Request has never been played except for “She’s A Rainbow.” Metamorphosis’ Side A has been played twice. All records were cleaned on a record vacuum before being played and once again before packing them for this sale. The records were either played on an Audio Technica ART9 cartridge with less than 30 hours of use or a Lyra Delos with less than 100 hours use. The stylus tips were cleaned before each side was played. My turntable’s alignment, tracking force, and anti-skate is properly set up.
There is an anomaly: there is a small pressing defect on “She’s A Rainbow” from Their Satanic Majesties Request that causes some noise for a few revolutions. It appears there was a tiny piece of debris that got in between the stamper and the vinyl when pressed at the factory. There is also a superficial mark from the factory on “Carol” from The Rolling Stones LP, likely caused by the paper sleeve (which were a little dusty when I pulled the records out for the first time). Fortunately it’s only cosmetic, hard to see, and doesn’t cause any noise. I could find no other anomalies and the records show no signs of use, are beautiful, and quiet. The record sleeves are all immaculate. The outer box is in NM condition and under close inspection shows only minor, superficial shelf wear. I cut out the hype sticker (pictured) that was part of the original shrink wrap and is included with the set. (I placed it in The Rolling Stones EP sleeve).
