Description

An original 1966 stereo 1st on Decca Unboxed. Harder to source than the 1st mono. Matrix 3/3 - very 1st cut. Stampers 1M/1M - one of the 1st few thousand copies ever produced! Please take note of the deep groove - that's what helps signify 1st pressing. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover with the photo pages attached in the interior. The inside interior page has been laminated/glossed - this is a sign of 1st issue cover. We also have an original blue stereo original Decca inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and good lustre. No fantastic lustre! Under close examination I could only make a couple of superficial marks - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly Excellent+ level of playback. A beautiful player and plays clean throughout - even into those fussy numbers. And just remember most of these hits copies have been played to death...and it will show! But not here! This copy is very well preserved. PAINT IT BLACK - gives ya goose-bumps!  As Time Goes By - plays lovely and clean and will trip up most copies. Satisfaction - often gets trashed - this one is NEAR PERFECT...never heard better. No background noticeable at all really. Lady Jane [probably the fussiest track] plays near perfect. Now, that's quite unusual. Much much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces. FINAL UPGRADE. Do ya wanna miss out?
Cover (Ex/Ex-) A smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50+ years use. But this one is exhibiting really good colour retention with a nice solid opening panel. Clean and flat with just slight laminate lift on spine edge. A pock mark on rear. Slight edge wear in the odd spot - but pretty minimal. Interior looks great and photo pages are not heavily thumbed. The spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Slightest ageing. But intact.
