Description

This is an original 1970 boxed stereo copy of LIB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 2/6. Stampers 1-MI/1-GM. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed in England with peephole and patent number on the rear - later copies state 'poster included'. The record's label design is consistent with a 1970 copy as some of the original attributes of the unboxed design are still clearly evident. Larger text is used on the album title as well as the catalogue number. And the font used is Arial rather than TNR which they switched to for the majority of boxed copies. Also included is an original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded to Spring 1970.
Vinyl (Ex+) In immaculate condition and looks to have only seen very light use. Check out those label shots!! Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality is stunningly as you'd expect from an early Decca pressing which is supremely well preserved. Interference, thankfully, is minimal. All we could detect was a couple of static crackles in a couple of isolated moments. E.g. opening seconds of 'Love I Vain'. But other than that you will be treated to an impressive and clean rendition of one of the STONES finest moments.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) LIB is a really difficult cover to find in top condition - particularly that unprotected rear. This copy is astonishingly well preserved. Lovely shiny front which is exhibiting nothing more than two tiny thumbnail creases. The rear is a stunner...very rarely do you see it looking anywhere near this good. Unaged and almost totally unmarked. There's just a touch of light fade at the extreme left opening edge. Edge wear is extremely light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of light ageing. No splits.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
