TITLE

The Rolling Stones No.2 Mono LK 4661 early blind man original VG/VG 3A/3A

Description

Early Decca 1964/1965 red label mono with laminated front /matt back cover & uncensored ‘blind man’ text.

For a record over 50 year old this is in very good overall shape and would be acceptable in any collection.

Cover / Spine / Inners

The cover is in pretty good shape and has a good original feel.  If you’re looking for Near Mint this isn’t the one for you!  It’s obviously been used and there’s some creasing and laminate separation.

The matt back cover is grubby and has shelf wear.  The previous owner has written their name and a number ‘2’ in biro on the back cover on the back cover.

There are no splits, tears, residues, etc.

The narrow spine has clearly legible text.

Overall it qualifies as a VG.

The vinyl has been kept in the original poly-lined ‘Emitex’ inner sleeve which again is a little grubby from nearly 60 years of use.

Vinyl

The heavyweight period vinyl has been cleaned and looks nice and glossy.

There are scratches and marks which I’ve exaggerated in the photos but it played through really well so it qualifies as a VG.

Label / Spindle marks

These red Decca label do show plenty of spindle wear when angled to the light.

However these labels are otherwise unblemished with no biro, finger prints, damage.

Postage at cost

The price for postage is essentially at cost - ie: it includes tracked delivery, a new cardboard mailer, new acid-free paper sleeve(s) and a mark-up equivalent to the fees applied to postage.

The record will be carefully packaged and sent in a new LP mailer to the UK MAINLAND ONLY.  I’ll happily pass on all postage savings net of fees for multiple purchases.

Other Beatles, Led Zep, Cream, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, The Hollies, etc, records in good condition to follow - watch for my other items.

General Statement (exceptions will be clearly noted).

This record is from the collection of a great music fan.  Many items were bought new and have been played and enjoyed over 40 or 50 years or so, though carefully selected second-hand items with less provenance have been added over the years.

The collector is fastidious and the sleeves have been keptin pvc covers.  The vinyl has been cleaned each time it was played and the quality styluses regularly changed.

He principally curated a collection of 60s / 70s / 80s LPs and 45s across the genres of rock, psychedelia and folk, but his love of music has taken them into other areas - please see my other items for sale.

I have spent time researching the items that I am selling and have done my very best to identify the correct version, but please do message me if you feel there is an error in the listing.

Items are photographed carefully before listing to uniquely identify the vinyl with the sleeve.

The record has been test-played and in our opinion it is more than acceptable for enjoyable listening. There may be the odd pop or scratch in quieter tracks or between tracks.

I have not allowed returns as the item is described and photographed in detail.  These are second-hand items and will come with some age-related faults, as do all items other than NM/NM.  If there are any problems whatsoever please message me to find a mutually-beneficial solution to maintain100% positive feedback on both sides.
