Description

An original 1st press of SG on the Rolling Stone label. Matrix 3U/3U. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue uncensored cover. The story goes that when some of the celebrities, or their estates, got wind of this cover they demanded a redaction of some well known faces. The most notable probably being MM's estate - her image is clearly visible, here, but you won't see it on later copies. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen the very lightest use. I can make out a couple of very light marks both sides - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Intros and inbetweens are super quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. You can really hear that you're close to those original masters. A very detailed and raw rendition - precisely what you're looking for on this title. A perfectly clean playing copy - meaning I'm struggling to make out any background at all - period. At worst expect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side, and one solitary slight tick in 'Far Away Eyes'. I've got it fully cranked and this baby plays faultlessly - wowzers. FINAL UPGRADE>
Cover (Ex+) A beautifully preserved original uncensored version - not many surface looking quite this nice. Front and rear are borderline immaculate. All I could make out is a couple of tiny impressions on one of the women's chins on the rear [that's it!]. It is unusual to find that die-cut front looking this clean and unworn [a beaut!]. Edge wear is extremely limited indeed and the openings still sharp. The spine is literally perfect - 100% perfect. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Ex) Looks great. No splits.
