Description

An original stereo 1st press of TTPD on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1W/2W. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in the original hexagonal 1st issue cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Please note very 1st issue covers have the flipbacks exposed in the interior - as this example does. Also included is the original blue hexagonal inner sleeve [in fact we have two included in the listing  - one as a spare]. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great shape and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minimal and infrequent. All we could detect was a bit of light static in a couple of moments [e.g. She's A Rainbow] and then a couple of light ticks in the intro to '2,000 Light Years'. And even that is, by and large, pretty minor. A beautiful player chock full of some of the sixties greatest hits.
Cover (Ex) The hexagonal 1st issue isn't all that easy to find in top condition - but this example acquits itself admirably. Lovely shiny front without laminate lift and only one minor crease - just the lightest touch of ageing at the top edge. The rear is in equally good condition - no issues at all. The interior is in excellent condition too. Edge wear is light for this title except for one very small patch at the bottom on the rear. The spine is often a problem area for this title - but this example is in above average condition. All the text is is still legible, there's a small touch of wear, but importantly the integrity of the spine is fully intact.
Inners (Ex+ & Vg+) Decided to add in a spare as the nice copy is so good. So, the best example is pretty much faultless and the 'spare' is just vg+ with a bit of ageing and a couple of small stains.
