Description
A 1st pressing from 1968 on the UK Columbia label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1R/1R - indicating that this pressing is from within the first 1,000 ever made. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a Garrod & Lofthouse cover.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we can only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity and minimal interference. We only detected a touch of static on one or two passages. The audio quality is top-draw as you would expect from an early copy drawn straight from the mono master.
Cover (Ex-) Again has clearly been well cared for. The front is still nice and shiny and unaged. The rear, too, seems to have escaped the usual ravages of ageing. A couple of thumb creases and that really is about it. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains great rigidity.
