The Smiths - Meat Is Murder. Rare original Rough Trade 1990 UK Vinyl LP (Rough 81). 'Lyntone' Pressing. Matrix : 'illness as art LYN27907', " Doing The WythenshaweWaltz LYN-27908'. Black labels.
The sleeve is in excellent condition for it's age, no corner creases, tears or splits. There is a tiny bit of scuff/ringwear/ageing on the bottom center of the front of the sleeve (between the bottom two photos of the soldier) but it is nothing too drastic or intrusive at all and I am still happy to grade the sleeve as in excellent condition. The back of the sleeve is extremely clean and white with only very, very, very slight sings of age and ringwear. It is in wonderful condition considering it's age. No splits, tears or corner creases. Catalogue number, band name and album title are all immaculate and visible on the spine.
The inner lyric sleeve (paper, opposed to card on earlier pressings), is also excellent. No corner creases, splits or tears and only a slight sing of age on the top right hand side on the reverse but again I am happy to grade it as excellent.
The LP itself is in beautiful condition and plays wonderfully. I have checked the opening tracks and inbetween and there is hardly any surface noise, buzz or hiss. It sounds truly fantastic.
