The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'This Charming Man' US Re-Issue 12" - 1992

This very rare US 12" pressing of 'This Charming Man' is not the original 1983 release, but a 'remixes' 1992 re-issue on the Sire record label. Far scarcer than the original, very limited numbers were pressed on vinyl compared to the CD format in 1992. It has no less than seven versions of 'This Charming Man' (although the 'Original Single Version' is seemingly the same as the 'Manchester' version) as well as 'Wonderful Woman'. Such is the rarity of this vinyl pressing that it was featured in Record Collector's Top 100 Smiths Rarities list at a very respectable Number 41. This copy is unbelievably rare in that it is still sealed in its original shrinkwrap and, being unused shop-stock, has been stored carefully in the 20 years since it was released.There are no rips or tears in the original sealed packaging, and it still has the intact and unmarked black circular information sticker on the shrinkwrap. Moreover, there is no damage to the record underneath; there is no creasing and no seam-splits have developed in the edges. One of the corners appears to have an extremely minor 'bump', but this is barely noticeable and all corners and edges are otherwise sharp. The record is effectively as-new, despite being twenty years old, which is an incredibly rare find. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.

Please do consider paying the extra 70p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. Extra items are sent at no extra postage charge to the buyer (see below).
