THE TANGERINE ZOO – OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
Mainstream Records S/6116 – released in 1968. Both the vinyl and jacket are in VG+ to NM condition. Check out the Buy-It-Now prices other sellers are offering this LP for on e-Bay. This one starts low with no reserve! THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK! On May-25-05 at 17:37:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received several inquiries from people asking me to describe the flaws in the jacket and vinyl. The vinyl is glossy and marks are apparent only when it is angled into the light. These marks appear to be light paper scuffs. I'm sure if you would examine the record under a high powered light you might see a light scratch or two but nothing of any significance. I have previewed both sides of the record and the sound quality is excellent with a very minimal amount of background noise. I tried to concentrate on the pauses between the songs to try and assess how much background noise there is. The answer is not much at all. The only thing I heard worth mentioning here are three pops in the long period of silence that precedes the song "Birth". It's as if the "pops" were in three grooves only as they stopped and I did not hear any more in the period of silence that followed.
The cover is in VG+ condition with good gloss, slight corner bumps and only a hint of ring-wear - noticeable mainly in the dark, upper right hand corner of the jacket. The labels are clean but there is a bit of faintness on part of the print on one label side. This appears to be part of the print process and not the result of repeated handling. This record and jacket are both really in exceptional condition - much better than I am used to seeing. I'm trying to be conservative in my grading and description as I find over-grading of items to be the most annoying problem I encounter on the things I buy on e-Bay. Please check the last several pages of my feedback. Some of my record buyers were kind enough to leave comments about my grading. I think you will see enough to recognize that I don't "puff up" my lsiting. Finally a word about the music... Top notch sixties psych! I am amazed that these guys are not more well known.
