Love In The Open Air / A Theme From "The Family Way"
Rare 1966 early Decca F12536 Demo 7" 45 with alternate label. The original 'A' side label, bearing the title 'The Young Love', has been pasted over with a second label with the corrected title. This track is from the film 'The Family Way'. This record is very rarely found in this form. The 'B' side is exclusive to this single, and has not been released on CD in it's mono form. Note - There are two tracks on the 'B' side, though only one title is stated. The tracks are written by Paul McCartney. MATRIX Numbers - Side 1. XDR 39518-T1-1C Side 2. XDR 39519-T1-1C
The record is in Very Good condition. The audio on side 1 is Very Good Plus, with a little crackle at the start and a few moments of slight distortion in the right channel. Side 2 is Very Good, with some crackle at the start and then some background crackle. The sound is improved on track 2. The vinyl is visually Very Good, with numerous, mostly light and superficial hairlines and scuffs on both sides. The 'A' side label is Excellent and is clean and intact. The 'B' side is Very Good, with some surface wear and numerous spindle lines. The sleeve is in Very Good condition, with some creasing and slight discolouration.
