Description
Artist: The Velvet Underground
Title: self titled
On the MGM record label this rare 1st stereo press delivers strong and powerful analogue sound with only minor evidence of its vintage. The disc has no obvious visible flaws or defects (no scratches or scuffs). Although this loudly cut disc has evidence of background noise on the run in grooves and dead wax it is only mildly noticable during playback and is not intrusive. It is housed in a front laminated sleeve that has some fairly minor creases to the laminate but no serious defects (see photos and details).

Theis well preserved front laminated sleeve has no splits, tears only some fairly minor laminate creasing as testimoney to its 1969 vintage.

Inner Sleeve:
The plain white inner sleeve is not split or creased but is slightly stained.
Comments: A well preserved sleeve in very good condition with no major defects.
Record:
The disc is not warped in any way. The disc still retains its original sheen and looks well cared for. There are no noticable scuffs, scratched or marks. The sound offers a great detailed analogue experience with some background noise that is audible on the run in grooves and very quiet sections, it is not (to my ears) in any way intrusive. It is not mint and totally flawless but still an enjoyable listening experience free of distracting clicks or pops.

Visually: the vinyl maintains much of its original sheen and looks in very well preserved condition.
Play testing: the record delivers detailed analogue vinyl sound with only fairly unobstrusive background noise on the "dead wax"and in very quiet sections.

How I pack:
I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

A bit about me:
It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
