The Velvet Underground & Nico – 1967 Vinyl Pressing – Unpeeled Banana Cover
Cover Condition: VG
· Gatefold cover has solid spine; no separations, splits or ring wear on either side
· Peelable banana in very good condition for age
o banana is intact and adheres completely to cover
o ? inch tear & minor wrinkles (pic #4)
· Airbrushed back cover (Eric Emerson’s torso airbrushed)
· Faint brown stains along front & back cover edges (pic #8)
· No writing or marks on any part of the cover
Vinyl condition: VG+
· Original 1967 US pressing
· Tested & plays clean.No skips.
· Flaws (two superficial scratches):
o Side 1, track 3 (pic #11),causes soft, barely perceptible ticks
o Side 2, track 3 (pic #12),causes no perceptible ticks
Label Condition: EX
· Verve Records blue label with large silver “T” logo & silver text
· No ring wear either side
· “Three Prong Music” as publishing credits
· Very clean
Matrix Runout:
- Side One: V6-5008 SiDE 1 MGS-558 REV.
- Side Two: V6-5008 SiDE 2 MGS-559-REV
Discogs database indicates this runout was for a 1967 “West Coast Pressing”
