Description
Up for bid is this 1967 Verve release ( V6-5008) of the Velvet Underground featuring Nico with Andy Warhol's famous banana ( peeled). This is from my personal collection.
I am not experienced using the grading system so I will provide complete details .
The record has light surface scratches and plays thru without any major skips.
The gatefold cover is intact. When you open it there is a 2 inch split on the bottom of the cover side that holds the record. The top of the rear gatefold has a 5 inch split along the top and frayed card board on another 3 inches on the top. At the seam of the gatefold some of the paper has worn off including part of the title of the band. There is age discoloration on all sides of the cover as would be expected from an album 45 years old. The interior is in very good shape with just a very slight tear along the seam of the gateway fold. The banana is peeled. The front cover has a signature on the top right.
