Description

The Velvet Underground & Nico Produced by Andy Warhol Verve 1967
For sale is an original 1st pressing Velvet Underground & Nico LP in stereo, released on the Verve label in 1967. The front cover is missing the banana peel sticker like most copies these days, and just features the peeled pink banana itself. Dust jacket is in good shape structurally, some marks and aging you can see in the photos. Back cover has a spot in the center where the cover has worn away obscuring Lou Reed a bit in the group shot photo on the back. Folds open to reveal inside photos, tracklist, album credits, and critic review comments from the time.  Record itself is in good shape, vinyl is shiny, with very light scratches. Plays and sounds excellent, with just some light surface noise. No skips. This is a 52 year old record.

Comes with a white inner sleeve to house the record itself, as well as a clear plastic outer sleeve covering. Will ship securely packaged in a sturdy cardboard box for LPs and safely fit with small bubble wrap inside.

This is a classic and influential album, very ahead of its time. It is a must have for any fan of pop and rock, garage, psychedelic, punk, industrial, alternative, and experimental music in general. This is the very first album by the Velvet Underground, featuring Nico on vocals, and includes famous cover art by Andy Warhol himself.
