Very early 1st US West Coast H.V. Waddell, Burbank, California records plant pressing. One of the best copies I've ever seen, whose cover remains in the original factory shrink wrap. Fantastic edition with the uncensored 1st state version gatefold cover. Unpeeled Andy Warhol's virgin banana sticker underneath the shrink wrap and a fully visible Eric Emerson's torso on the back.  ★ This is one of the rarest copies where the volume level suddenly goes up right after Lou Reed sings "Comes in bells, your servant, don't forsake him..." in the "Venus in Furs" track. This mysterious circumstance has several interpretations with one of them being the assumption that someone in the recording studio accidentally touched the master volume lever during the mastering session.  ★ This Monaural West Coast release has the very rare and unique 2.75" deep groove pressing ring Verve Records misprint labels. Side B incorrectly indicates the timing for two tracks, "I'll Be Your Mirror", 2:01 instead of 2:10, and "Black Angel's Death Song", 3:01 instead of 3:10. 1st print Verve Records blue labels with silver text and T-shape logo also contain the Monophonic catalog number V-5008. The full matrix numbers located in the runout groove of the very early 1st West Coast pressing vinyl: Side 1 - V-5008-S-1 MG-558-Rev / Side 2 - V-5008-S-2 MG-559.  ★ The cover is in stunning Near Mint condition. The Verve Records inner sleeve is also graded as Near Mint. I grade the vinyl Side 1 as strong Very Good Plus due to it having a very small scuff and a cosmetic hairline which are non-feelable and don't affect the sound in any way. Side 2 is Excellent Minus as it has only one cosmetic hairline, which just like in the previous case, doesn't affect the sound in any way. The vinyl sounds fantastic having a warm vivid Monophonic audio, perhaps only having some background noise during the quiet passage which is most likely just the static which will go away completely if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
