You are bidding on the rare LP:
The Ventures In Space, released by Dolton Records (BST-8027) in Stereo in 1964 out of Los Angeles, CA. "Audition Record" is stamped on the back of the cover. Original Pressing!- (see photo of the very first Dolton label!).
*The Ventures In Space has long been a cult-favorite amongst collectors and for a very good reason! It's truly hard to imagine this record being any better. The band lays down some killer, very trippy surf rock of the absolute highest order here. This LP is especially fascinating in its awesome ability to combine the sounds of the respective Hot Rod and Space-Age crazes of the era! The band's claim that "all of these unusual & other-worldly sounds have been created with musical instruments rather than electronic gimmicks" is very hard to believe, considering the all-around killer sounds of this record! This is a beyond-classic of the time. And this is a straight-up original copy, something you don't see every day!*
The thick Vinyl is visually-graded in VG condition. When looked at under a very bright light, the record shows a rich luster and a fair amount of very light surface marks. This will play with an incredibly full sound, but a very minimal amount of very minor surface noise will occasionally be heard. This has been play-graded, and I can fully-guarantee that will be an utterly fantastic listen with near-perfect sound!
The Cover is graded in VG- condition, due to some seam-splits that have been repaired with masking tape (fully across the bottom and two at each of the top-corners)- (see photo). Otherwise, this shows some fairly minor crease, seam and edge wear. Overall, it still looks nice.
Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling.
For combined shipping, please add $1 for each additional LP you purchase. If you buy many records from me, I can ship them all together in one box, and charge you the actual cost I pay at the post office. International customers, please keep in mind that once you reach 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs+), 1st Class International is no longer a shipping option, and you must ship Priority or Express.
