Description
I am a 45 year collector of LPs and 45s. All of the LPs I have listed on eBay are from my personal collection.
These original Monument pressings of Roy Orbison are some of the best sonically engineered LPs ever pressed during the golden age of the rock/pop era (1955 - 1973) due to the legendary engineer Bill Porter. Porter worked primarily in Studio B at RCA's Nashville Studios. He engineered hundreds of chart hits in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Elvis and Roy Orbison were only two of the artists for whom he created a magical sound. Orbison's Monument pressings are recognized as some of the very best and it was Porter that gave Orbison's Monument recordings their distinct sound.
I have graded the jacket EX+ due to toning on the reverse panel and a small crease in the lower right hand corner. The jacket has no seam splits, tears, or marks. There are two very small tears in the shrink, one in the upper left corner of the front panel and one on the very top seam. Both are about 1/4". There are two "breathe holes" in the shrink, one on each side of the jacket near the center of the lower seam. See the photos.
