Original 1973 UK 1st Pressing | Iconic Zippo Lighter Cover | ILPS 9241

This is a rare and highly collectible original UK release of The Wailers' iconic album "Catch a Fire", featuring the legendary Zippo lighter sleeve. Released in 1973 by Island Records (catalogue number ILPS 9241), this 1st pressing predates the widespread recognition of Bob Marley as the lead figure, and credits the band simply as The Wailers. A must-have for any serious reggae collector or fan of vintage vinyl.

Vinyl Condition:
VG+ - The vinyl has been well cared for, showing only light surface marks that do not affect play. It sounds fantastic, with no skips or jumps and minimal background noise, delivering excellent audio quality.

Sleeve Condition:
Good - The famous Zippo lighter sleeve, designed by Rod Dyer, is in good condition for its age. The hinge mechanism is fully functional, but has a small section of seam repair with tape and some minor wear, particularly on the edges. Original inner sleeve is included and in good shape.
