Time to thin out my Who Vinyl collection.
Here's one of the holy grail items for Who Collectors, the Super Rare DECCA TOMMY PROMO BOX SET.
This is the 1969 US RADIO PROMO ONLY BOX SET 4 x 7", that Decca sent out to radio stations in the US to promote the forthcoming album Tommy. It included 8 of the standout tracks from Tommy across 4 7" singles and was housed in a black box with a gold label to the front. It also included a Gold leaf folded leaflet explaining the outline of each of the tracks each single has gold labels and are labeled not for sale.

This box set was later pirated. The cover on the pirate copy uses shinier paper and the matrix numbers are hand written, this one is not a repro copy. I bought it in the US a number of years ago but it's time to let someone else enjoy it now.
The box is EX- overall it's a rare box and shows signs of shelf wear and ageing (see photos).
All the singles are MINT and paper sleeves are also MINT. The insert leaflet is still super shiny and looks great
Overall I'll say the set is EX
Obviously there is a reserve but it's modest so grab a bargain now!
