Description
The Who Sell Out - U.K. 1967 original pressing. Track Record 612 002. Rare mono pressing. With original psychedelic poster.
This album in this condition is impossibly difficult to find. I bought it in the late 1970s, played it once with a high quality audio cartridge, put it in a poly sleeve and stored it upright on a shelf since then.
The vinyl itself is virtually mint. There are two very slight spindle marks that indicate it might have ben played twice before I owned it. Any marks in the scan are from dust on the scanner or the record itself. It is in its original Made In England poly lined paper sleeve.
The album cover is a solid VG+ to mint minus. It was Manufactured in Great Britain by POLYDOR RECORDS LTD., LONDON. Printed and made be Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London, W.11. It is still a bright white, no tears and just a slight trace of ring wear. The edge of the opening doesn't show the usual signs of bending from having the album removed from the cover. There are no tears or missing pieces of lamination which is so common on these very lightweight covers.
The poster, PRINTED BY CHEVALIER-ROTTERDAM / ADRIAN GEORGE / OAS 6 / c OSIRIS VISIONS LTD. 83 CHARLOTTE ST. W. 1, is in fair to good conition. The colors are still bright. It has been folded and unfolded many times but there is no separation in the folds. The piece showing in the top left corner is still there, it was just folded under and I didn't realize that when I took the picture. There is a small piece missing in the top right and bottom right corners as well as staple holes and a 1/2" hole in the bottom left corner.
