Description
The Who Tommy Box Set 1970 Decca Radio Promo 45’s Rare!
This is a fantastic rare box set of 45 records from The Who. Excerpts from the Rock Opera Tommy, Prepared Exclusively for Radio Station Programming.
These four records were released in 1970 on the Decca label and all are in VG++ to NM condition. They all have the “NOT FOR SALE” notation. There is a small mark on the labels of Sides 3 & 6, and some faint wear to the labels on Sides 7 & 8. Otherwise, these labels are nearly pristine. The vinyl of the first three records retains all its original gloss and shows no marks or blemishes under bright light. They play great with no background surface noise noted. The fourth record shows a few faint marks and there is a very small area on the edge that is warped a bit. It plays with a couple of very faint ticks.
The box is completely intact with no broken corners or edges. There are marks, scuffs, and small surface wrinkles on the top. The inside is very clean.
Records:
1. Decca # 734610, “Amazing Journey” & “The Acid Queen”
2. Decca # 734611, “Go to the Mirror Boy” & Tommy Can You Hear Me”
3. Decca # 734612, “Smash the Mirror” & “Sensation”
4. Decca # 734613, “Sally Simpson” & “I’m Free”
