Description

An original 1st press of Who's Next on the UK Track label. Matrix A2/B1 - 1st cut. Etching "MG12888". Please note the labels are flat and matt...NOT shiny or ridged...these are the 1st copies! the heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue MacNeill cover with pinched spine. There's also a rather cool looking Headhunters inner from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in a couple of brief spots. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Well worth plumbing for the earlier copies - they were pressed heavier and sound much better. A pretty clean payer by and large. All I could detect was a few crackles and a coupe of minor ticks in the synth chatter as Baba O'Riley comes in [this is hard to find clean on any copy]. A few crackles briefly in 'Bargain'. But nothing upfront at all. Plays clean into the quieter numbers like 'Song Is Over'. This is by and large a great little player with bags of energy. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) Difficult to find this one in top level condition - but this example is looking sweet. Nice clean and flat front with just one blemish to the left of the album title. The rear is looking much tidier than you typically tend to find - just a touch of light handling. Firm opening. A bit of edge wear in places, but nothing epic. The spine is 99% intact which is a hard fine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Headhunter Inner (Vg+) Bag present. Light ageing and grubbiness at openings. Only a 5mm edge split.
