Thelma Houston/Pressure Cooker & Tuxedo Junction direct to disc 2-fer Mint discs

From 1975 on Sheffield Labs and Motown Records: Thelma Houston & Pressure Cooker's direct to disc release titled 'I've Got The Music In Me' Cat.# Sheffield Lab-2, pressed in Japan...  AND Tuxedo Junction's 1978 release of Moonlight Serenade on one side and 'Rainy Night in Rio' on side 2, on Century records out of Hollywood: CRDD-1140, a very heavy 45rpm 12"! 

Vinyl: very much NM overall on the Pressure Cooker LP with no spindle marks, super clean labels and amazing stereo sound coming from well cared for, seldom played and quiet sounding vinyl. Play is fantastic. Tuxedo Moon's 12" is definitely well into Mint territory, looking untouched and pristine, I have not played this one.

Cover: Tuxedo Moon isOverall EX.. or better: still heavy and straight with minor shelf wear at the worst but because it has held such a behemoth disc all these years has a bit of ringwear starting at top and bottom on front and back, less so in the back. The Thelma Houston cover is EX as well with some slightly bumped corners and general shelf wear. These both have generic anti-static inners in nice shape.

GRADING:

(M): mint - a record known to be new or very close to it. This record would look pristine and new in every way, a M- (minus) record may have light pressing stains or marks that can be seen upon close inspection in bright light, but obviously don't affect play or sound in any way and otherwise is like new.

(NM): near mint - almost like new, only the slightest hint of any wear if any would be allowed.

(VG+ or EX): excellent or very good plus - very little if any wear, still in excellent & collectible shape. Record looks like it would play Fantastic.  

(VG) very good - acceptable but showing quite a bit of wear...audible surface noise can be more apparant and maybe light feelable marks but if something is felt it should be play graded to gauge how this affects play. I tend to not list anything with feelable marks and feel that anything with a feelable mark or anything that interrupts play like a skip, stick or violent pop belongs below VG-. When I read the Goldmine definitions it seems my VG+ or EX could probably be considered NM, they are pretty forgiving for the VG rating but I think anything with 'very good' attached to it should not have things like mentioned above, even into VG-, as far as I am concerned these records just have less visual appeal but can be great players.

(VG-) very good minus - could be acceptable but showing a lot of wear...or maybe 90 percent of the disc is nice and there is one song with a gash..probably some audible tics or clicks or maybe just numerous light marks but otherwise a decent player. Surface noise without a doubt, but again exceptions to the rule happen all the time.

(G+), (G) or (G-) a LOT more of the same as a VG-, if something with this grade is listed it's not likely to be pretty but not necessarilly a basket case or riddled with deep scratches. Poor or Fair grades probably won't come up, I forget which is better poor or fair, but IMO fair is a poor record that is not so toasted that You are afraid to play it even with a beater stylus so poor would not need any real explanation. I have spent many years eliminating the poorer or lesser grade records and trading up to nice ones etc., records in the below VG condition for the most part can be a waste of time.

I look closely at everything under a very bright light,  EX+, means damn close to NM and is a term I might use a lot as it describes an average collectible record that is great like a NM grade but may have things You can see from pressing in it or spindle marks but in general extremely minor things hardly worth mentioning. Often an EX+ can be someone else's NM. I try to grade conservatively and provide a play grade where possible, IMHO this is a better process than saying everything is VG+ with no other description other than a pic.

I package carefully for transport, with LPs in a clean extra sleeve next to cover both inside a poly protector sleeve with original inner sleeves stored inside cover. -the same way I store them. Usually it gets the anti-static extra sleeve, but no guarantee on that.  This has always been a practice to keep original inner sleeves in as nice a shape as possible. Sometimes  the LP has no special inner sleeve and uses a generic paper sleeve, I try to note if an item has a printed or custom inner, etc. Bubble wrap or similar will be used inside a cardboard media mailer with an extra cardboard slice etc. inside for extra protection.

I do not want to ship outside of the U.S. right now, I will likely cancel a bid or transaction if You do bid without reading this and checking first. Please contact before bidding.  

 If there is an error on my part please let me know within 3 days after receiving and I am sure we can work it out. Buyer pays return postage of item as it was shipped to them. I know the items I am selling so it should go without saying that if return is requested for some reason, then it should be the exact same item sent to the buyer and not anything else.
