Description
Thelonious Monk self titled album on Prestige Records LP 7053.
Cover it self is in good shape, no major rips or tears but there is identifying tape on the front left corner, and a strip on the bottom right. The top left tape reads "JLP 117" and "LLP 490" underneath. The rear so reads "JLP 117" as the tape from the front wraps around. There is a stamping on the back cover top that reads "Radio Station WKOX", which looked to be based in Framingham, Mass.
The album itself is pretty clean, except for a small little yellowish scuff on side B, which is shown in the photos. There's also another "Radio Station WKOX" marking stamped on the b-side label.
The record features the deep groove on the label, and the hand-etched "AB" markings on the dead wax, also "RVG" inscriptions as well.
Over all, this first pressing is in great condition, and has lots of great character with the radio station markings.
