Thelonious in Action is a landmark 1958 live jazz album by the Thelonious Monk Quartet featuring tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin. Recorded at the legendary Five Spot Café in New York City, it captures one of the most high-energy, yet short-lived, lineups of Monk's career.

This is a great album and plays lovely considering its age. The cover is made out of heavy duty cardboard unlike subsequent covers in the 70s and 80s so it has survived really well. It’s really good value for money and a time portal back to Smoky Jazz clubs and sweaty musicians.
