Description
This is the original deep groove pressing of Thelonious Monk “Plays Duke Ellington” on the white reel-logo labels of Riverside RLP 12-201. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a beautiful luster; a single inaudible scuff on Side 1; the intro to Side 2 has 15 seconds of light crackling. The laminated cover has light wear along the opening on the front; the back slick shows age toning and light foxing along the left side and a ½” chip at the lower left corner. Glassine inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Oscar Pettiford and Kenny Clarke. $150.00.
