Description
Here is a rarely seen release on the Ducretet-Thomson label (320 C 112, 320 C 113) out of France. This is the box set issue of pianist Germaine Thyssens-Valentin performing Faure Noctures complete on a Steinway. Includes one original Ducrete Thomson plastic inner sleeve.
Condition - The box looks pretty nice fromt the front, and the spine is functional, but it has some damage on the spine toward the middle. The box grades at VG+. The printed inner sleeve looks nice. The inner sleeve grades at VG++. The records are shiny, but they do have some light marks and scuffs from play. The records grade at VG+, maybe better, by sight. I listened to the records and they were a bit noisier than they looked. There was light to moderate static that seemed to diminish a bit as the sides progressed, and some other periodic loud noises, some probably owing to some small pressing bubble on the surface of some sides. This listening grade was closer to VG, but maybe a little better in some places.

Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
