The vinyl has what look like a scuff on the A side, but cannot be felt, the B side has no visible marks. The sleeve is in very good condition, though is slight mark to the V in Revolver, the photo shows it as brown, but that came of, and it looks as if a name has been written on something and left on inprint in the bottom left hand corner. No marks on the reverse.

I have managed to play this vinyl.  Generally for its age it is in reasonably good condition.  I am using my old Technics SL-1300 deck and the cartridge probably needs replacing !! . What looked like scuffs have not affected playing, no jumping etc.  I have only cleaned the vinyl with distilled water, so it could probably do with a better clean, as there are signs of `crackling` between some tracks and low music points.  Upon playing though I have discovered a slight warp to one side, which though it is not affecting its play, is obviously there, and will effect its value.

Revolver is the seventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 5 August 1966 in the United Kingdom and three days later in the United States. The album marked a progression from their 1965 release Rubber Soul and signalled the band's arrival as studio innovators, a year before the seminal Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. On release, Revolver was widely recognised by critics as having redefined the parameters of popular music. The album's diverse influences and sounds include the incorporation of tape loops on the experimental "Tomorrow Never Knows", the use of a classical string octet on "Eleanor Rigby", and the Indian-music setting of "Love You To". Together with the children's novelty song "Yellow Submarine", "Eleanor Rigby" became an international hit when issued as a double A-side single.

The album's Grammy Award-winning cover design was created by Klaus Voormann, one of the Beatles' friends from their fledgling years in Hamburg. In the UK, Revolver???' ?s 14 tracks were released to radio stations throughout July 1966, with the music signifying what author Ian MacDonald later described as "a radical new phase in the group's recording career".[1] The album spent 34 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, reaching the number one spot on 13 August.[2] Reduced to 11 songs for the North American market, Revolver was the last Beatles album to be subjected to Capitol Records' alteration of the band's intended running order and content. Its US release coincided with the Beatles' final concert tour and the controversy surrounding John Lennon's statement that the group had become "bigger than Christ". In America, the album topped the Billboard Top LPs listings for six weeks.

Revolver was ranked first in Colin Larkin's book All-Time Top 1000 Albums and third in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.[3] A remastered CD of the album was released on 9 September 2009. In 2013, after the British Phonographic Industry had changed its sales award rules, Revolver was certified platinum. The album has been certified 5x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

I have collected vinyl for over 45 years and have amassed appx 750 single and 350 albums, between the 60’s and 90’s until cassettes came out.   

I have recently purchased a new stereo that copies vinyl direct to my PC so gradually I will be copying that vinyl that I wish to keep and this whole collection will be put on sale.     I will therefore have played some to check their quality, but in the meantime some will be listed un-played, though I will have checked all for any damage or scratches.      When an item then sells I will check the record is of the standard I have described and if not, then would immediately refund your money instead of posting and disappointing.       If anyone though wishes me to check a particular item before bidding then I will do so.   Please also note that the likes of David Cassidy, David Essex and similar are not mine but my wifes.

Many of the singles have their middles missing, this is not because they have been on commercial Juke Boxes.  During this period my father worked for Ditchburns, one of the major distributors of Juke Boxes and Fruit Machines, and managed to get me my own 50 selection Juke Box, so they have only ever been on mine.
