TONTOS EXPANDING HEAD BAND - 'ZERO TIME'

1971 UK 1st PRESSING LP


This influential 1st album by an electronic music duo consisting of Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff led them to play on some of Stevie Wonder's best known albums of the 70's starting with Music of My Mind & continuing through Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale). TONTO is an acronym for "The Original New Timbral Orchestra," the world's first (and still the largest) multitimbral polyphonic analog synthesizer, designed and constructed by Malcolm Cecil.

This barely played 1st UK pressing from 1971 is on the Atlantic label: K 40251

Housed in an unlaminated 'MacNeill Press Ltd.' printed gatefold cover.

Complete with its original plain white die-cut inner-sleeve.

A vivd & vibrant pair with just a handful of small spindle trails to each centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

'As new' in strong daylight with just a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp but no other wear whatsoever.

Play: NEAR MINT

An amazing sounding record which has received just a few careful plays on good equipment. I could detect no traces of any audible faults or wear throughout.
