Trees – The garden of Jane Delawney (CBS 1970)
Excellent UK 1st pressing of this 1970 acid-folk/rock gem from Trees on CBS. Really quite stunning.
It's a brilliant album that encompasses both melancholy and haunting acoustic folk, stellar treatments of English folk classics, and searing guitar work on thrilling folk-rock workouts. And this is a fine copy.
The sleeve has survived remarkably well - a little rub wear to the spine and the top edge, and some very minor wear visible on the back cover and that's pretty much it. I've conservatively graded it VG+ but it's really a little better than that.
The vinyl retains its brightness and gloss, and plays through really nicely, delivering an excellent audio experience. There are a few wispy hairlines here and there, but all I detected on playback was one or two momentary soft tics on Side 2. Great audio overall - it grades Excellent.
A1/B1 matrices.
The orange CBS labels are in fine shape with no significant wear, and no damage or writing. They also grade Excellent.
It comes with an original CBS advertising inner sleeve (VG+ to Excellent), and the vinyl is in a new anti-static inner.
Even better, I'm starting this at 99p with no reserve. I'm confident it will find it's proper market value.
