Mint Minus condition
A Beard of Stars was without question a pivotal point in the career of Marc Bolan. This was the last Album to feature the full title of the band, thereafter shortening it to T.Rex. What is noticable on this album though is the definite breakaway from the acoustic sound to the Electric sound.
The superb Elemental Child at the end of side 2 more than proves the direction Bolan was going with his music.
No Bolan collection is complete without this superb LP. If you only wanted one Tyrannosaurus Rex LP, then I would have no hesitation in advising you that it should be this one.

The Sleeve is fully Laminated and published by Garrod and Lofthouse. Steeve Took has by this time been replaced by the larger than life Mickey Finn.

the sleeve is in excellent condition with the laminate in great shape, a couple of little lines near the spine, otherwise in great shape. No tack listing on the sleeve, and this was because there was a one page Lyric Sheet included inside the sleeve. this sheet is included and is in MINT condition.
The Vinyl is in stunning condition. The red and Silver labels are very sharp and unfaded or worn. The spindle hol is unworn as well, and there are remarkably few spider lines. as I mentioned in the other listings I have all four early Bolan LP's on Ebay at this time, and they all came from the same meticulous collector who cared for these albums lovingly.
The vinyl gleams like new, and plays superbly. Near silent intro groove leads into the opening track Prelude. as on the other Rex albums the stereo split is just superb, and the production on these Lp's is just superb. The Bolan sound is very crisp, and absolutely crystal clear. There is no distrotion to the sound, which indicated that there is no groove wear, but I am not surprised by this as the condition of the vinyl is exemplory, but seeing is not believing until the volume is pumped up.
