Description
This record has a nice high gloss and only a couple of hard-to-see hairline lines. It does however play with quite a bit of crackle at the start of side 1 and some crackle continues on side 1, playing an average of VG-. Side 2 starts with less crackle and has less crackle still as the side progresses. Probably plays about VG overall. The music itself is good and clear above the crackle with no distortion audible.
Obviously the record needs a thorough machine clean which I cannot provide. It ought to play much more in line with the very clean appearance of the vinyl. I suspect I didn't play it when I obtained it - I have quite a few records like that - and was therefore surprised not to hear silent surfaces. It was played on a Linn / Quad set-up.
The record is Regal Zonophone LRZ 1003, the matrices are XCARX - 43 - 1 G and 44 -1 G. It's in glorious mono.
The lyric sheet is near Ex with one mild corner crease.
The sleeve is VG to Ex- with slight shelf wear to edges and the laminate is lifting by about 2mm at the very top of the front. The rear has very faint ring marking.
A scarce record at a low starting price.....will post to most countries, ask for costs.
