Description
4 U2 Play (a four pack of Irish import singles) by U2 features the following:
1-"Out Of Control" b/w "Stories For Boys" & "Boy/Girl"--CBS 7951 (1979). Black Vinyl
2-"Another Day" b/w "Twilight"- CBS 8306 (1980). Black Vinyl
This single is U2's second and is one of four that predate the band's 1980 debut album Boy (by eight months). The Ireland-only single contains the songs "Another Day" and "Twilight" (different versions than the ones that appeared on Boy). This single was recorded before superproducer Steve Lillywhite took over. The Another Day single has never been released on CD, and was also part of the 4 U2 Play collector's set.
3-"11 O'Clock Tick Tock" b/w "Touch"--Black vinyl CBS 8687 (1980)
"This single is U2's third and is one of four that predate the band's 1980 debut album, Boy. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock is the last non-LP single released before their first full-length and before teaming up with Steve Lillywhite. (A Day Without Me, the first single from Boy, came out three months before its release.) Seven songs in total were released before Boy, four of which were never on a proper album. This single contains the songs "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" and "Touch." "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" was a live staple for many years, but "Touch" will be unfamiliar to all but the very dedicated fan. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock was the first U2 product to be released outside Ireland and was on Chris Blackwell's Island Records. The 11 O'Clock Tick Tock single has never been released on CD.
4-"I Will Follow" b/w "Boy/Girl"--Black vinyl CBS 9065 (1980)
The four records come in the plastic holder which is in Very Good condition. The records are also in very good condition with no scratches. They come from a smoke-free environment. The record sleeves are in VGC and seams are preserved. There is some slight staining only on the front cover of "I will follow" only. A very rare collector item for any U2 enthusiast.
