EX/NM Used Audiophile Vinyl Record in UHQR Box Packaging

Record Label: Mobile Fidelity UHQR MFQR 1-005

Mobile Fidelity's highest quality UHQR (Ultra High Quality Recording). Produced in limited quantities of 5,000 and pressed by the JVC Company of Japan on 200 gram Super Vinyl. Contains a Technical Specifications Manual, Certificate of Authenticity and packaged in foam-lined box, this is the audiophile's holy grail - it gets NO BETTER than this!

Limited Edition #631 of 5,000

Jacket and album are like new but seal has been broken. Box is in great shape; corners are sharp, sides rigid. There is some shelf wear on the bottom of the box. Vinyl is like new and plays beautifully. Contains all original materials originally included with this LP. (NM or Near Mint is the HIGHEST rating we give for unsealed LPs!).

Review: Truly one of the great rock albums of all time. I just finished listening to this fantastic collection of songs for the nth time, and it is as fresh as when I first listened to it in college 35 years ago. Supertramp has always been one of my favorite rock bands. I can hardly call them rock -- rather symphonic geniuses who blended the best of orchestral instruments, rock and that great British sound into this masterpiece. Released in 1974 at the height of the rock era this is one for the ages. The recording quality of the re-release is superb -- as good as any digital recording and maybe better. Sadly I supposed, rock began a slow enexorable downhill march starting in the mid to late 1970's. I am a confessed prog rock fan,and I guess Supertramp sort of fits that genre, but not quite. Prog Rock has a tendency to take itself too seriously, and Supertramp is both playful and serious at the same time. Fabulous. ~ Amazon

About Mobile Fidelity's MHQR Releases: In addition to the regular-weight LP releases and box sets, MFSL also released eight UHQR (Ultra High Quality Record) titles on LP. Each was a single-record box set limited to 5000 copies and individually numbered. UHQRs were pressed on heavy-weight (200 gram) "virgin" vinyl and pressed on the master stamper, also at JVC in Japan.
