LABEL AND NUMBER:    DECCA SXL 2005  -  WIDE BAND GROOVED LABELS WITH ''ORIGINAL RECORDING BY'' TEXT AT 10 O'CLOCK POSITION

YEAR OF RECORDING/ISSUE:     LABELS MARKED 'RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1958'  -  COVER DATED SEPTEMBER 1958

                                                         MATRIX DATA IN RUNOUT AREAS IS AS FOLLOWS:   ZAL-3380-3E   and   ZAL-3381-2E

CONDITION OF COVER:    ORIGINAL FULLY LAMINATED COVER WITH FLIPBACKS AND 'BLUE BORDER' / 'BLUE BACK' DESIGN.  THE FRONT HAS ONLY SOME CORNER WEAR KEEPING IT FROM GRADING BETTER THAN NEAR EXCELLENT.  THE REVERSE IS IN AT LEAST EXCELLENT CONDITION.  OVERALL, A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE.  THE 'STEREOPHONIC' INNER SLEEVE EXPLAINING THE VIRTUES OF STEREO SOUND IS ALSO PRESENT.

CONDITION OF RECORD (VISUAL):     VERY GOOD CONDITION - WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A SHORT BUT NOTICEABLE MARK TOWARDS THE END OF SIDE 1, THIS LP HAS NO OVERBEARING SIGNS OF USE AND IS GENERALLY IN DECENT ORDER.

CONDITION OF RECORD (PLAY CHECKED):    FOR THE MAJORITY OF BOTH SIDES THIS LP PLAYS VERY STRONGLY WITH ONLY MINIMAL SIGNS OF PREVIOUS USE  -  HOWEVER, THE BLEMISH DESCRIBED ABOVE TOWARDS THE END OF SIDE 1 PRODUCES AROUND FOUR DOZEN OR SO CLICKS/TICKS THAT ARE JUST UNDER THE VOLUME OF THE MUSIC IN A FAIRLY QUIET PASSAGE, RISING TO BEING ABOUT THE SAME LEVEL AS THE MUSIC LATER ON.  THIS DISAPPEARS WHEN THE MUSIC BECOMES LOUDER AGAIN AND THEN RETURNS FOR A SPELL WHEN THE MUSIC REDUCES IN VOLUME ONCE MORE.  THEN, EVEN THOUGH THE MUSIC DOES NOT BECOME LOUDER AGAIN FOR A WHILE THE INTERFERENCE ENDS.  THIS GENERALLY AFFECTS THE LEFT CHANNEL ON MY SYSTEM AND ONLY A FEW POPS/TICKS COME THROUGH ON THE RIGHT.  THIS DOES NOT (IN MY OPINION) AFFECT THE LP AS A WHOLE AS IT IS NICE OTHERWISE.  THIS IS MORE THAN JUST A 'FILLER' EXAMPLE AND YOU MAY FIND IT VERY TOUGH TO FIND A BETTER ONE WITHOUT SPENDING A VERY LARGE SUM.

THIS LP WAS PLAY CHECKED USING A GOLDRING LENCO TURNTABLE WITH AN AUDIO TECHNICA CARTRIDGE AND STYLUS THROUGH PIONEER SPEAKERS.

Double LPs can be counted as one LP when using the above guide.  This will save you money if there are one or two double LPs in your bundle.  If buying several double LPs you will therefore save a considerable amount!

If purchasing box sets please count the discs contained in the set and use the above guide but add on the equivalent to one extra LP for the box.  For example, a 4LP box set would cost the same as 5 singular LPs or a 10LP box set would cost the same as 11 singular LPs using the above guide.

If purchasing 45rpm singles/EPs as well as LPs please add £1 to the cost of the parcel for any number of 45s/EPs.

I generally use Royal Mail for small numbers of LPs and an inexpensive but reliable courier for the larger numbers.

I will always send parcels of high value by registered/insured delivery but will cover the cost myself.  If you spend a relatively low amount (e.g. under £45) but would prefer me to send your parcel by registered post, please tell me and I will invoice you accordingly (it will be £1 on top of the rates above).

EUROPE AND RUSSIAN FEDERATION

I normally send parcels of upto 6 LPs by Royal Mail and higher amounts by Courier.  The above rates are for countries like Spain, France, Germany and so on.  Some countries that are classed in the same price band by Royal Mail (like Reunion, Russia, Poland etc) may cost a little more than the rates above when sent by courier so if you live in Eastern Europe or a more remote area it may be best to contact me if you want to buy more than 6 LPs just to double check.

The above rates are for lower value parcels.  For parcels of above £50 in value you will need to add £5 to the amounts given above.
