Description
RCA Living Stereo LDS 6706, five disc boxed set, first red label discs with large silver spot, pressed in England by Decca. Stampers are 3D 1D 1D 1D 1D 1D 1D 1D 2D 1D. Recorded in London by Decca, issued in the US in the deluxe Soria Series with the same catalog number. UK made Soria Series box, with the same beautiful large format booklet/libretto as the US issue.
Wagner, Die Walküre, complete opera, with soprano Birgit Nilsson, tenor John Vickers and bass George London. Erich Leinsdorf conducts the London Symphony Orchestra. See pics for complete cast.
Discs all beautiful NM, very little sign of play. Appears to have been played once, if at all. Box VG+, corners all intact, not crushed. Some minor wear around the edges. Libretto is clean. As nice a copy of this great recording as you are likely to find. Not easy to find in the Decca pressing.
