UK Decca SXL FIRST ISSUE NARROW BAND LP's  X 10 (SXL 6453 LP FULLY TEST PLAYED, LIGHT PAPER SCUFFS ONLY, BUT PROBABLY THE MOST PLAYED LP IN THE SET)    DISC 6459 HAS A VERY FINE AND intermittant LIGHT SOUNDING SCRATCH ON SIDE 2 INTRO, HEAR IT ON beginning of SOUND SAMPLE  FOR UPTO A MINUTE INTERMITTANTLY .  8 DISCS GRADED VISUALLY AT NM MINUS (SOME DUST AND SPINDLE MARKS a couple of scuffs test played as silent) SCUFFED  DISC 6453 AS MENTIONED VG++++,  SCRATCHED DISC 6459 IS STILL VG+ DUE TO VERY QUIET TIC IN REPLAY.

MOST OF THE DISCS HAVE THE RESIDUE FROM THE PLASTIC INNERS BY THE WAY OF THOSE FOGGY GREY LINES WHERE THE DUST JACKET HAS BEEN IN

CONTACT WITH THE VINYL FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME                                                                                VISIBLE IN REFLECTIVE ANGLED LIGHT, BUT IN TEST PLAYED AREAS, GAVE NO BACKGROUND OR OTHER obvious replay noise

(no splits, VERY MINIMAL REFLECTIVE LIGHT RUBBING ON COVER GLOSSY FRONT, HOWEVER THE BLACK TEXTURED FINISH EDGES HAVE MANY SMALL RUBS AND TEARS REVEALING THE PLAIN CARD BENEATH, ALSO HAS ORIGINAL OWNERS NAME  GLUED IN NAME PLATE INSIDE BOX CLOSING LID (PHOTO 3)  .

Dust covers MOST ARE NM, BUT A COUPLE ARE VG+, NONE SPLIT, JUST CREASED OR DISCOLORED

PARTIAL TEST play, ALL OF DISC 6453, PART OF 6459 IN SMALL SCRATCH SECTION IN opening of  SOUND SAMPLE.

MOST OF THE DISCS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYED, AND  HAD DUST ON THEM, AND ROTATIONAL SPINDLE MARKS ON MOST DISCS.

 THIS is STILL very clean sounding,  Photo's  taken in full with flash or reflective light , and ONLY THE ALREADY MINIMAL MARKS TO A COUPLE OF THE LP'S AND COVER DAMAGE TO THE BOX  visible to me or the camera.  Sampled SCUFFED AND OTHER SCRATCHED DISC, was taken as were the photo's before any wet washing, just a light dust of with an antistat dust cloth it looked so clean.

On first time test play there was very few

TICS OR POPS on THE LIGHTLY SCUFFED 6453 DISC .

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE 2 minutes 33 seconds is of opening side B, of sxl 6453, which is the ohly visible small scratch on the 10 lp set, then a quiet bit as I flip the disc to side 2 of sxl 6453 which has a few non sounding scuffs in sunlight only, starting at approx 2 minutes 52 seconds until the end of the 5 mins 3 seconds sample .

I just supply that , as a sample so you can see how clean these play unwashed, before sound samples or photo's. Other records had a few scuffs, but all those scuffs test played as silent, as you can hear very clean, maybe only a few sticky dust light tics left on the rest of the LP's 

BE aware the sound sample talked about IS A LOW SAMPLE RATE AND accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea.
