Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. PROMOTIONAL PRE-RELEASE 1967 "SAMPLE" COPY
One of the earliest examples of French psychedelic-rock was by an exceedingly rare/little known (only) album THE POPPY FLOWERS" or "Les Fleurs de Pavot." The original pressing is a very valuable collector's item and since there are no vinyl reissues yet you need to pay a few hundred dollars/euros if you want the LP into your prized record library. This is one of those albums that should get a reissue as soon as possible.
The stylistic direction of this LP is mostly 'popsike' oriented but there are some more rock oriented parts as well. The 13 tracks are enjoyable and good to terrific overall in this solid album. If you're a fan of 60's psychedelia this French underground classic is worth giving a listen (and more.)
The French '60's "psychedelic" rock scene was very limited in terms of releasing full play albums while instead the focus was on 45 rpm releases of which there were many. Among those getting 60's albums released, none rarer than Les Fleurs De Pavot (The Poppy Flowers) though highly recognized Lp's by Kinetic, Octopus 4, Les Esclaves ('Popera Cosmic'), Daevid Allen Gong ("Magick Brother"), then to early 70's with Chico Magnetic Band, Semis, Sixting Music ("Rendering Pink Floyd"), Catharisis, Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes, etc. etc.

"Les Fleurs de Pavot" is considered to be one of the finest French psych records in exsistence, and rightly so. "THE POPPY FLOWERS" merged within hippies scene 60's artisty, and their image was created by Svengali Jean-Pierre Rawson exploitative efforts rather typical of the era.
"Les Fleurs de Pavot" (The Poppy Flowers) already had issued several 45's / EP's as the serviceable beat-rock quintet "Les Bourgeois de Calais" (The Burgers of Calais) before producer Jean-Pierre Rawson ('Chico Magnetic Band', "Majority One") decided on the way to go, was to transform Les Fleurs de Pavot into hippie freaks (one of them was supposedly named Jesus, from San Francisco.) They had their heads plugged in, beginning the album with a formidable take on the FUGS "Super Girl" ...
The album was produced by the unbelievable dream team of Jean-Claude Vannier and Bernard Estardy, and it shows...the arrangements are brilliant, the lyrics reference drugs as often as possible, and the atmosphere is highly lysergic. This album doesn't need drugs to be enjoyed-- no, this album IS drugs
The stylistic direction of this 13 songs LP are enjoyable and good and overall, a solid record. If you're a fan of the late 60's psychedelia this French underground classic is worth attempting to locate
