Sooooo rare in this UNPLAYED MINT- condition!! these are the three 78 RPM records issued in a special illustrated sleeve upon the original DECEMBER 1937 release of walt disney's 1st animated full length feature, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. envelope/sleeve has tipped in full color plate illustration of the dwarfs by gustaf tenggren on the front. tenggren was a noted children's illustrator whom disney had hired to oversee the ENTIRE snow white operation years before. his Disney illustrations are cherished and much sought after by both disney collectors and childrens illustrator enthusiasts. records are on the "VICTOR" label and are glossy and shiny mint- as stated. no spindle hole marks or ANY marks of any sort. each record is in its own 'victor' original mint sleeve. stunning condition for whole package--envelope/sleeve is bright with no seam splits, creases, etc. remember, this was a fragile package to begin with some 68 years ago. it was obviously handled with care and stored away unused for these many years. as mentioned, 1st press U.S. release and as rare in this condition as it gets!!!! HISTORICAL NOTE: this was the very 1st time in motion picture history that music was transferred directly from the film to recording vinyl making this set the very first SOUNDTRACK recording ever produced. when this is noted in reference material, most readers assume it's meant that it was the very 1st ANIMATED film soundtrack ever and, while it was that, MORE important, it was the very first film soundtrack OF ANY SORT!!!! all the songs from the film are on the 3 records. shipping costs to be determined.
