LA LEGGE DEI GANGSTERS

Rino Quintero, a gangster just out of prison, organizes, with the help of fence Fulvio Rigani, a robbery estimated about five hundred million lira against a bank in Genua, choosing two young accomplices as Renato and Franco,young jewel thieves, and a southern unemployed Bruno Maineri. "Sponsor "of the robbery, which will get his 30%, is the french crook Renier.
Carried out the coup, (ended in a bloody shootout which causes the death of Rigani), Rino and the others try to divide the spoils, but are addressed by Renier who, gun in hand, forces them to give him half. To prevent the threat of Rino, who has sworn to kill him, Renier attempts to suppress one by one his accomplices. Once killed Franco, the frenchman faces Bruno but is in turn surprised by Rino that, after a fierce melee, manages to kill him. About to escape aboard on a speedboat, with Maide, the widow of Rigani, Quintero is achieved by the police and is killed in a shootout with officers.
Widely using flashbacks, the director Siro Marcellini analyzes in depth the feelings of each character and the motives which led them to turn against society. This is perhaps the best part of the movie that ends in the second half tends to slide on "easy going" and spectacular effects. The best interpreters seem Maurice Poli and Franco Citti in the the part of two southern immigrants. Beside them the gritty but monotonous Klaus Kinski.

Jacket : VG+
Original carboard cover, not laminated, in VG+ condition, with original open seams (Omicron issued it originally as a fold out insert jacket), minimal wear along the spine. A slightly marked crease reaches the open seam from below top right corner, ending with a little bump.
Back cover is clean white with brilliant red and black writing, absolutely sharp and not faded. Absolutely no visible ring wear on both sides, very rare with such a light cover. Please, look at my cover scan.
Vinyl : EX/EX
The vinyl has been very carefully played but both sides visually appear to have slightly exuded showing a subtle "milky haze", probably due to the contact between original plastic inner sleeve and vinyl, during the long years of storage. This visual peculiarity is however totally uninfluent on the quality of the sound and absolutely not affecting the music (no aural hiss or any background noise). The record has been aurally tested, please listen to my soundclip.
Catalogue/Label :
LP OMICRON LPM 0016 original 1st italian pressing. The original deep grove, black label with silver lettering is in top condition, with almost no signs around the spindle hole. Please, look at my label scans.
GRADING CODE
Grading is VISUAL, under a bright light.
NM (Near Mint): Record has been opened, and probably played, but is in impeccable condition. I do not use "mint".
EX (Excellent): Has signs of use or storage, but still considered top collection quality. Jackets may display some very light wear; vinyl may have a few light sleeve marks only visible in the highest light. Sound will full and clear, with little if any noise (NOTE, some records are just pressed poorly).
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Still a great copy but has a bit more wear. Vinyl may have some light scuffs or scratches, but nothing deep. Jacket may have some ringwear or seamwear. Sound should be great, with minimal if any noise.
VG Very Good): A great play copy but clearly used. Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. Jacket may have splits and wear but will not be falling apart.
VG-(Very Good Minus): A used or worn copy, that has not been taken good care of. Vinyl will have many scuffs or scratches, but play through enjoyably despite audible background noise. Covers will have tears, splits, writing, or other issues.
G Fair, Poor: A very rough copy. Will play through without skipping unless otherwise noted, although records of this grade are sold AS-IS.
