Description

These eight 45s are extremely rare, 7-inch EPs.They are comprised of sessions that Miss Teddi King recorded in a Hollywood studio in the mid-1950's for a series titled "Out of The Blue". She is accompanied by Dick Hyman and his small band on all tracks. This series was sponsored by the U.S. Air Force's Recruiting Service, and were made available only to certain radio stations. These 32 songs are all full-length, and were recorded especially for this occasion, and are NOT replays of her own records. In many case, she is performing songs she had not recorded at the time or later. Very interesting, eclectic mix of standards, current day hits, and movie theme songs. All of these sides sound great sonically (I verified the conditions when burning to CDR, and Miss King is in top form here. Each record appears near-New and is in a white, paper sleeve. Each record contains 4 different songs, as well as some brief chat from Teddi and the host about the US Air Force. A great find. never reissued before on LP or CD. A must-have for all Teddi King fans.
