Iconic dub album from legendary producer Lee Scratch Perry.
Upsetters - Return of The Wax 1975
Original U.K. DIP Records, white label.
Unplayed dead stock from an old store, I’ve play tested the record once.
Grading is a little complicated... the record overall is very clean visually with minor storage marks.
Unfortunately, however, there’s a nasty scratch on A2 which causes 2 loud clicks [with a lighter needle I think it’ll have one skip]. I’ve somehow caused this scratch as it’s fresh & wasn’t there when I picked it up.
A1 seems a little worn from storage causing background crackle that is very much noticeable but not overpowering.
There is the occasional crackle throughout the rest of the A side.
B side plays clearer with minimal crackle.
Overall, it’s mostly VG/VG+ playback & visually VG+ with VG- A1, G+ A2, VG/VG+ the rest of the record.
A lot of info but it’s a rare one.
