A 1st pressing of Very Eavy Very Umble on the UK Vertigo Swirl label. Matrix 1/1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover 'copyright subsists on all Vertigo recordings'. Also included is the original vertigo inner sleeve date coded in 1970.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely stunning condition and has clearly seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could make out a couple of light marks - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It's worth remembering that while Very Eavy is at times very loud - there are a lot of acoustic passages. And it's these acoustic passages which will be the test of whether you have an average copy or a stellar copy. This copy is preserved like no other copy I've ever heard. No hint of groove-wear at all. Acoustic passages are perfectly rendered with zero background. Absolutely spot on - and boy can you hear it. This is a mind blowing copy. All we could detect was a couple of crackles [literally] right in the middle of track 1 and then very little else of any significance. This is a final upgrade - you just will not find better. Please note one of the labels has been signed.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Shiny front and back with only a couple of minor creases. The surfaces are in great shape with hardly any laminate creasing at all. The interior is in equally good condition with the only issue being a small/neat signature on the right hand side. Unusually the spine is in excellent shape with very little wear and all text fully visible. Overall this is one superb specimen.
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing at all. No splits. One tiny signature.
