VARIOUS ARTISTS – Boston Bootloeg, Vol. 3. Rave Up Records RUR 79 (American Lost Punk Rock Nuggets, Vol. 79). Italian release. FACTORY SEALED NEW 2-LP VINYL RECORD ALBUM SET. Issued in 2015 and now out of print. Contains 30 tracks from 22 bands. Comes in a single pocket jacket with notes on each artist on the back of the jacket. These recordings come from the archives (late 70s thru early 80s) of WMBR radio in Boston which amassed a collection of reel to reel tapes of Boston area bands/artists who submitted their music for broadcasting. Most tracks are previously unreleased and/or unique recordings to this compilation with less than a handful of tracks being independently issued in small numbers by the artist/bands (now rare and long out of print).

DESCRIPTION:

This is part of Rave-Up’s American Lost Punk Rock Nuggets Series; not sure on the press-run numbers, but this series has had a short shelf-life once on the market.

Boston was a hotbed of punk starting in the mid-70s but in those days it was tough for bands to put out records. So the alternative was that they left 1/4-inch reels of tape at the local radio stations and got played on the air. Sometimes vinyl would follow, usually not. This two-LP set, based on these ultra-rare tapes, is an incredible and unique documentation of the Boston punk scene in the late 70s-early 80s, with 30 killer tracks from 22 of the top bands (including Unnatural Axe, the Thrills, La Peste, the Dogmatics, Baby’s Arm, and Lou Miami & the Kozmetix), all unreleased or hard to find. A must for fans, collectors, and anyone who was (and wasn’t) there. Highly recommended!  

THIS ITEM IS NEW AND UNPLAYED. Used items will include condition details for the cover, disc, inserts, etc.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

NEW LP:  This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs.

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.

RETURN POLICY:

Any refund, exchange, or substitution/credit will be at the buyer’s choice, but not made until the original item is received back by me; in the condition as stated in the item description. 

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:
