TITLE/ARTIST: Hello again - please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of the very rarest various artists LP`s ever put together - and is entitled simply "Jamboree" - a soundtrack LP from the 1957 movie of the same title. I'm told it was released as a promotional record to radio stations only - but I can't say that with absolute certainty, so you people out there can be the judge. I do know that I've been collecting records for all of my adult life (nearly 50 years now), and I have never seen any other copy of this LP. For sure, this is not a reissue like others listed on Ebay - this is the originally released, 1st pressing. The front side pics and the back side synopsis notes verify that fact to some degree and the final confirmation comes with the vinyl having "Jam 1" and "Jam 2" stamped, not etched, in the trail-off. Yes, this is the actual 1st pressed release from 1957 - please view all 12 pictures above. It is on the yellow colored (does that make it a promo?), Warner Brothers Label, and reflects back on many of the great songs and artists from that time - 22 songs in - and all 18 of the artists apparently performed in this classic '57 movie. Some of these big names include Fats Domino, Buddy Knox, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and many more (please see the pictures above for all the names and song titles). The album appears to be in very good overall condition, although certainly not perfect by any definition, so please read on.... FYI, I also intend to list one other super rare "various artists" LP this week - "The Best Vocal Groups - Rhythm and Blues" on the rare red vinyl Dootone label - so feel free to check that one out as well. LABEL INFO: This original, yellow colored, Warner-Brothers Records label (no number), in MONO of course, is in great shape and just about perfect - it doesn't even show many spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates fairly light play. VINYL INFO: The vinyl appears to be very shiny and clean, but there are some totally uneventful surface and/or paper lines on either side. These lines have no effect the album's play and really do little to effect it's overall appearance either. JACKET INFO: Finally, this jacket - with pictures of all the performers on the front side and liner notes on the back - is mostly quite good, but does some light show signs of "aging" primarily on the backside, a 2" crease line in the lower left corner, a few small scuff marks in the corners, and three fairly substantial seam splits along parts of the seams, although the jacket is still totally intact. Otherwise, it too is just fine. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this ultra rare and highly collectible "oldies" LP is one interesting piece to say the least, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned 50's-60's LPs from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are many more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed 45's/LP's are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape - and I never use minimum bids. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
