VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO VLP9184 MONO

Tis album has been in my family since the late 60s it is an original  UK recording.

My appraisal of its condition, following a test play, is;

The vinyl is in very good condition considering age. It played without any jumps or major distortion.. However, there are a few crackles throughout the playback on both sides but this is  not excessive allowing a good sound reproduction. I do not have the means to properly clean it and am sure that it will benefit from a professional cleaning.

The labels are undamaged on each side with only minor spindle marking.

The sleeve? that is not in very good condition. There is a 4" split to the  centre spine. There is the name "John" written in top right rear. There are ring marks to both sides. There is  some  creasing to the laminate film and the rear shows some age browning.

The plain inner sleeve has a split adjacent to the  outer spine. It also has  some finger tears to the open end.

All in all, this cannot be considered as a mint or excellent copy, but is a rare album and does play  reasonably well. I  am not setting a high starting price so you may be in for a real bargain.
