VERY RARE BUDDY HOLLY - Blue Days- Black Nights/ Love Me (1956) This was Buddy Holly's debut UK 45 single release. EXCELLENT CONDITION (EX/EX) Catalogue Number: Brunswick 05581 (with original triangle centre)
The ultra rare original UK single release from 1956 in superb condition. Released on the Brunswick label (Decca USA released in the UK on the Brunswick label) and with the original Brunswick sleeve (see photos). Blue Days - Black Nights / Love Me . First UK release with original triangular centre (re-issues have round centre).
Recorded during January 1956 at Bradley’s Barn Studio, in Nashville, this single was originally released on April 16, 1956. The Decca 1956 Nashville recordings were repackaged several times. Both tracks appear on "That’ll Be The Day", which is the last album released before Buddy Holly's death, February 3, 1959. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a very rare recording.
