Description

Here’s a VERY rare pressing from the Jimi Hendrix catalog. This is the “Historic Performances” LP from the Monterey Pop Festival, featuring Hendrix and Otis Redding. This LP is fairly common, and is almost always found on the “all brown” Reprise label. However, a very few copies were put out on the earlier brown and orange label. Frankly I didn’t even know this variation existed until I took the record out of the jacket. It also helps that this is one of the of the nicest copies of this LP I’ve ever come across- the vinyl grades a full Near Mint! The jacket shows very light rub wear, and a very small name at the very top edge. This is on the Reprise label, number 2029, released in 1970.
