"THE BOOGIE DISEASE" / "JUKE BOX BOOGIE"

DOCTOR ROSS

 Released November 10, 1954, SUN studio, 706 Union, Memphis, Tennessee.
Doctor Ross' second release of only 2 SUN singles.

A lovely ORIGINAL disc of this RARE SUN label 78rpm.
As noted above, the record is in great condition but there are a few light marks either side. I have play tested both sides but the marks do not affect playback:
The label on the Juke Box Boogie side has a little damage (see photo).

Now the interesting bit......you will see that the 'The Boogie Disease' label is signed: Doctor Ross'.
Unfortunately I cannot authenticate this signature. It may very well have been signed by him in the 1960's.
This record came over to the UK sometime between 1969-71 and had already been signed.
I tend to believe that this signature is genuine - but I have no proof.
Even WITHOUT a signature, this is indeed a RARE record.

This record will be packed in a box, then that box will be packed inside another larger box for utmost protection during its journey.
The price quoted for postage is by courier but is only insured up to £20.
Higher insurance can be arranged if required - please let me know.
